In my mind, the holiday season is synonymous with sequins, glitter, and sparkle (see my 25 Days of Sparkle Challenge here!). From the early days of December through New Year’s Eve, ’tis the season to rock them. While it seems everyone around me is complaining about how many Christmas parties and soirees they have to attend, I am wishing for more! Because I can advocate for daytime sequins all I want, but sometimes you just need a certain occasion to pull out a look like this…

It’s officially sequin season, and for the second year in a row, I’m attempting to wear a little bit of glitter for every day of December leading up until Christmas. Happy Friday blogadees! I hope you’ve all had a relaxing week off, or if you’ve been working, a relaxed and quiet week in the office! Well it has been quite sparkly week here huh? Even more fitting then that today’s Friday’s Fancies on {long distance loving} is themed Sparkle & Shine! My wishlist is overflowing with sequin-encrusted pieces right now, but here’s an outfit featuring just a few of my favorites. I love the idea of this Anthropolgie sequin bolero, mostly because I have inherited a rather sparkly bolero myself from my own mom. Maybe I’ll bust it out in an OOTD if you’re lucky and I’m feeling brave :)
