Thank goodness for Friday– and for Friday’s Fancies! Looking at my closet the other day, I realized I am actually very cautious about going monochromatic, and especially with mixing blues… which seems funny considering that blue is probably the colors available in the most shades! So this was a challenge, but the more I look at it, the more I think I’d like to incorporate monochrome into my daily looks!

One thing I didn’t even realize until I got into my twenties was that there is a very clear and distinct wedding season, and we are right in the midst of it! This is my absolute favorite J. Crew dress… in the history of J. Crew dresses. My friend Natasha wore it to our graduation last May, and they keep bringing it back with more and more colors! Heck if it’s still available by the time some poor soul decides to marry me, you can be sure that my bridesmaids will be wearing it :)

This is only the second maxi dress I’ve ever owned, but now I’m pretty sure that once you go max, you never go back, and I want to stock my entire closest with them! The light airy fabric made me believe I belonged on the Greek isles… rather than humid Texas where I happened to be…
