There’s a little saying around this part of the country:: if you don’t like the weather in New England, wait a minute.

And nothing has ever been more accurate. One day we’re pushing 80, the next I’m back to layers and pants. Articles of Society sent me these bee-yoo-tiful coral skinnies recently, and they have been the perfect addition to my spring closet– for days when the temps don’t exactly feel like warm spring.

How fun is all that pink? I’m also so tempted by the same pair in mint and this light-wash sky blue.

Stripes at Style Summit

pretty waves tank maxi dress

Pretty Waves Tank Maxi Dress, LOFT // Bracelets [ask!] // Sandals, GAP [similar]

This is totally my blogger dress. I got it at the LOFT Grand Reopening Party I hosted a couple weeks ago, and immediately wore it the following weekend to the Blog Better Boston Style Summit conference [which I totally have not recapped yet-- eek!]. It is possibly the comfiest thing I have ever owned, and flatters every single person I have seen it on so far. And I mean, navy + white stripes…. how could I really resist?

Somewhat related to my blogger maxi, the past month has completely reminded me why I maintain this little corner of the internet of mine in the first place. The Boston blogging community is made up of some of the most kind-hearted, creative, and generous people I know. From the big things, like putting on incredibly informative conferences and hosting events and get-togethers, to the little, like sweet tweets to say hello and offering peer advice and insight when asked, this is a group that clearly supports each other. One that I am so proud and grateful to be a part of.

yellow jeans

Top, LC Lauren Conrad [similar 1; 2; 3] // Yellow Skinnies, Forever 21 // Bracelets, Tiffany & Co; Kate Spade; Jack Wills // Flats, Lacoste [similar 1; 2]

This shirt does not sit well on me. But with ruffles, pastel birds, and a peplum frill, it’s still a favorite spring piece of mine. As are these yellow jeans. Which I’m realizing go with about ninety percent of my closet somehow… :)

Cardigan, Old Navy + DIYed // Jeans, Forever21 [similar 1; 2] // Crossbody bag, American Eagle [similar] // Wrap Bracelet, KJPxBB // Sneakers, Polo Ralph Lauren [similar 1; 2]

I have been lusting after this Markus Lupfer sequin lobster sweater for far too long. Too long as in, it’s actually one of my first pins on my Pinterest. When I randomly came across these gold sequin anchor patches recently, I realized I could easily make my own version of the cardigan… for approximately $485 less. And I have hardly taken it off since.

Also, when did navy blue and pink begin to go so well together?

Anchored Down

I’m back to posting today because I know we have to at least attempt to return to a sense of normalcy around here. Monday’s events are still first on my mind, and my thoughts and prayers are still with the victims and all affected.

I’m just about done with pants for the year. And tights. Unless they are of a pastel color, pants are out and it’s dresses and skirts with bare legs from here on out. Until they no longer cause extreme goosebumps (seen below), oxfords and lower leg-covering footwear are in.

Skirt c/o eShakti // Tank, Gap // Bracelets, KJP; Alex & Ani; oh buoy Boston // Clutch, Lilly Pulitzer [similar] // Nude Pumps, Steve Madden

Kelly green and navy. Sailboats. Anchors. I really am becoming predictable aren’t I?

I just adore this skirt eShakti sent me for spring. Not only did they fit me to my exact measurements, I was also able to customize the skirt length. I’ve never owned a piece of clothing that flatters my waist like this, plus the buttons are the cutest touch. See here, here, and here for other favorites of mine from their spring line!

beaded gray shorts

Tee, Express // Shorts, Urban Outfitters [similar] // Quartz Energy Cuff c/o Hearts.com // Booties, Steve Madden [similar]

You guys. I am so excited to introduce you to Hearts.com.

You all probably know by now my love affair with TOMS shoes, and how their one-for-one movement helps children in over 50 countries. Hearts is similar– they work with 2,000 artisans around the world to create eco-friendly fashions and accessories, using low-impact processes to support the environment. They incorporate responsible materials, so they’re taking less from the planet, and positively impacting world issues and supporting people in need.

silvery quartz cuff

Hearts sent me the cuff pictured above (available here for purchase), and I am so smitten with it. Best of all, by wearing it, I’m supporting the Brazilian artisan community, and the quality of life in Rio de Janeiro.

silver bangle bracelets

About the cuff: Each ethically produced cuff is crowned with raw stones while holding value and meaning to the one who wears it. Each piece contributes to the quality of life in Rio de Janeiro. Colorless and transparent, Quartz is the greatest of all healing stones while also aiding in relaxation and visualization.

About the artisan: In Brazil, where raw materials are considered precious treasures, artisans are often paid less than the full value for their labor. This artisan community guarantees Fair Trade practices to their creators, and they work tirelessly with them to improve the artisans’ education. Protecting fair wages helps ensure that the artisans can support themselves and their families with their learned skill, to which they devote many years of practice. This family of artisans streamlines their profits back into their communities through donations to an organization that grants health care and schooling to disadvantaged Brazilian children. Due to Brazil’s immense size and vast rural areas, boosting access to education is a high priority and Hearts is proud to help contribute to a brighter future.

How fun and wonderful is that? Even better– Hearts.com is offering you all 30% off (jackpot!) with code SOANTHRO30. Cannot be used on sale items and expires on May 1st, so get browsing + buying! In addition to my cuff, I’m loving this bright Guatemala City Crossbody, Bolivia Beanie, nautical iPad sleeve, and anchor necklace.

Ship Wheel Raglan Shirt c/o US Trendy // AG Stevie Polka Dot Pants, Anthroologie [similar 1; 2] // Bracelets, Alex & Ani; Oh Buoy Boston; Kiel James Patrick // Wellies, Hunter

Last month, US Trendy awarded me with the pretty darn fun title of being one of Boston’s 50 Most Fashionable. As if that wasn’t cool enough, they offered to send me some clothes, and–huge shocker– I picked this comfy ship wheel sweatshirt (hey, gotta show off some nautical New England pride right?!).
