This may or may not sound superficial, but I find it amazing how significant jewelry can be to an individual. What may look like a standard stack of bracelets to one person can hold so much more meaning to another. Like what I’m wearing here. A GUESS watch, that reminds me how thankful I am for the opportunity to represent + write for them. A bangle from Skiler Love, because I love supporting local, aspiring designers. A charm bracelet dated back to 1965 that belonged to my grandmother, so I can have a little piece of her with me everyday. A handcrafted bracelet from an Etsy designer, as I believe in honoring handmade and small businesses.

Boston isn’t New York. Boston doesn’t try to be New York. But in all fairness, this city is home to a lot of local design talent, NY Fashion Week or no. I met with Alyssa Davis, designer behind Skiler Love, a recently launched jewelry line, and I am so excited to introduce you to her brand and invite you to her upcoming launch.

From bangles to body chains and charms to brooches, her newest collection, entitled Bohemian Luxe, is “one part vintage charm, a dose of modern simplicity and a stylish sized portion of individuality.” They are unique and feminine with just the right amount of edginess– and so very delicate.
