This weekend I stopped in Kate Spade New York‘s Newbury Street store, where they were celebrating French fashion blogger Garance Doré and her illustrations featured as a part of the brand’s new capsule collection. I am absolutely smitten with this line: peter pan collars, French script, and bow details– what is not to j’adore?

While miss {av} is on a little overseas voyage, we’re doing a Eurotrip Friday’s Fancies in her honor. I’ve still got Parisian details on my mind, and while this look may a bit too over-the-top touristy for France itself, I think it would work just fine from afar.

With every summer comes the promise of reminiscing. As the warm months hit, no matter how much time has passed, I can’t help but be transported right back to my weeks traveling Europe. Paris has a particularly special place in my heart, and I’ve been spoiled enough to visit it over two summers in fact. This tulle skirt was my best attempt at blending into the French fashion scene, and I pull it out every now and then when I need a little fun + chic in my life.

Perhaps this isn’t the most patriotic post in honor of America’s birthday week, so je suis désolé!
